Does Obama’s tax policy unfairly penalize those who make profits thru entrepreneur start-ups?
The Question! asked:
Doesnt the nation’s innovative advantage depend on these high risk ventures?
Doesnt the nation’s innovative advantage depend on these high risk ventures?
They may eventually may make a lot of money over a short duration, but only after incurring hardship for years before?
Doesn’t Obama’s tax policy screw up the reward for people who take on this risk?

I guess you cannot access barackobama.com/plans? try it ya might learn something.
Oh, give me a break. The increased tax on a business making say $270,000 a year would be $600 for the year. That’s not going to cripple the guy who has $270,000 in profits, believe me.
Obama’s tax policy will screw over anybody who is a proletariat, which Obama defines as anyone making less than $250,000 per year. Sure it may sound good with his sales pitch and rhetoric, but in the end, the middle class will experience a massive amount of inflation, while the powerful still swim in their money.
he’s a lawyer who wants to run the economy, think about it. He wants to spread the wealth, meaning you work ahrd, and he’ll give the money to those who do not produce.
I noticed a lot more innovation in the 90s… which was basically under Obama’s plan… than in the 2000s?
go figure?
YES!!!! He denies it but he’s trying to punish success! Joe, the plumber, said it very well - why work hard if you have to pay more taxes?
Profits are not evil. People go into business to make a profit, not out of the goodness of their hearts.
It is sad that people seem to think that if a business gets taxed more, they will just eat the extra taxes - BULL! They will pass it onto the consumer or they will lay off employees or they will cut back in other ways.
It’s also sad that people are naive that they think Barry’s tax increases won’t affect me since I make under $250,000. BULL! There is no way he can deliver all his promises without raising taxes on many more people.
Joe, the Senator, is wrong - it’s not patriotic to pay more taxes.
Your kidding right. Since the tax hit would only affect companies who have a net profit over $250K and would only increase their taxes by about $7500 a year, I doubt it will really affect the company business practices.
No–because if you make 250K as the head of say citibank or if you make a net profit of 250k from your own business-both of them are taxed equally. People have to understand that it is your take home profit, not your business profit that will be taxed differently—and they also have to understand that another 300 billion dollars to the wealthy companies will NOT create the expected jobs because those companies moved already overseas(except for a few). Bottom line is that anyone who brings home less than 250k will actually see a tax break on their take home pay under Obama–
No. Start up businesses will have the advantages of paying less taxes. Only after they start making over $250,000 annually will their taxes go up 3%.
Have you read Obama’s tax plan or are you just drinking Rush Limbaugh’s Kool Aide?
Since the majority of small business owners earn less than 250K, the plan will not effect them. In fact, most will see a tax cut. For those that do earn more than 250K, the tax rate will return to slightly below what it was during the Clinton administration. Remember the Clinton administration? It presided over one of the biggest economic expansions in US history, in which small and large businesses prospered greatly.
While I agree that taxing business at too high a rate will strangle the economy, Obama’s plan doesn’t come close to doing that. Only McCain supporters preach that nonsense.
You should read Obama’s plan on your own sometime and come to your own conclusion. The Rush Limbaugh’s and Sean Hannity’s of the world will only cloud the truth for you.
Yes it does. Take the risk, live on pennies for years and then take the screwing he’ll give you if you succeed. He takes away incentive just like most socialists do.
you bet your azz it does.
I think after reading this, u will get the answer to your question; not confusing at all. U wil be ahead of mc cain even.
Read this from The Wall Street Journal
online.wsj.com/article/SB122488938501868507.html
it outlines Obamas and McCain tax plan - very simple Obama believes in giving checks to people who don’t even pay federal income tax -
Veronica - you can not get your sources from ANY candidates web page!!!! Read this article and then decide for yourself if it’s a good tax plan - - BTW - over 40% of Americans don’t pay so when Obama says 95% he’s is not telling the whole story - do more research than just on a campaign web site Obama or McCain!
No, I think his healthcare proposal would encourage more entrepreneurs. A lot of people would go into business, but they can’t because they need group health insurance through a company. Without that constraint, more people can enter into their businesses without putting the welfare of their family and children at risk. Sounds smart to me.
